Dry Place (Unfinished Prototype)

The game doesn't make much sense right now, but here's the concept:

  1. You spawn outside of a maze built on a mountain
  2. You make your way in as far as you can, leaving notes on the walls along the way
  3. After 30 seconds (maybe longer) of playing, your character passes away and you start outside the maze again from another spot. Your old notes are still available for you to find your way through the maze.

At this point, I had it set up so you could navigate the maze and respawn outside randomly. I was hoping to have a more polished game for the jam (that's why I picked a simpler concept), but in juggling commitments I ended up here. No excuses.

I was aiming for an old-school first-person game aesthetic where you jump from one position to another, and you can see remnants of that.

The game can't currently end. The Bible verses that come up were going to tie together in the end in a bit of prose, but the game can't end and so it all just appears completely random.

The code is open source, so feel free to check it out!

For some reason the game doesn't load up when I wanna play

Hmm, what browser are you using? I believe I've tested in Chrome and Firefox. If your browser has an ad-blocker built in (like Brave) or added, you have to disable it on Itch (not sure why, as the game doesn't use any ads).
